Antique Tibetan hoop earring in silver, decorated on the front with a set turquoise.
This type of ornament, widespread in the Kham region, was worn by both men and women on ceremonial occasions. Earrings of this kind are also associated with the Tibetan monastic tradition.
The front measures 19 × 27 mm (0.75 × 1.06 in), while the diameter of the hoop measures 4 cm (1.57 in).
