Antique Omani silver ring with Hajj bead

Antique Islamic silver ring with a red engraved “Hajj” glass inlay.
These glass beads, sometimes decorated with short inscriptions or, as in this case, with crescent and stars motifs—symbols of Islam—are traditionally worn after the pilgrimage to Mecca or purchased as a souvenir to commemorate the event.
In Oman, rings of this type are worn by both men and women.
The ring has an inner diameter of 18 mm (0.71 in), while the front height measures 15 mm (0.59 in).
