Antique hairpin in silver with enamel decoration of Chinese origin.
The top is decorated with a figure of an elderly man with long moustaches, depicted according to a typical iconography of traditional Chinese art, attributable to sages, scholars, or Taoist figures. This representation generally alludes to values of wisdom, longevity, and spiritual harmony; the presence of a scroll in the hand of one of the figures reinforces the reference to knowledge and literary tradition.

The polychrome enamels adorning the upper part feature light blue, yellow, and green tones.
