Antique “Bawsani” silver and coral ring from Yemen.
The ring is decorated with fine silver granulation and two coral stones set on the front.
The “Bawsani” style takes its name from the most celebrated goldsmith dynasty of the Yemeni Jewish community; the Bawsani were renowned for their extraordinary skill in silverwork, creating finely decorated jewellery featuring filigree, granulation and settings of coral and other precious materials.
