Konyak White Glass Beaded Necklace

Konyak necklace composed of multiple strands of small white beads measuring approximately 2 mm in diameter.
The Konyak are one of the main ethnic groups of the Nagaland region, in northeastern India, on the border with Myanmar. Once known as fierce warriors and headhunters, today the Konyak are appreciated for their refined production of jewellery, often made with beads, brass, shells and other natural materials.
Multi-strand necklaces, such as this one, were often worn during ceremonies or as a sign of prestige within the community.
The necklace’s clasp is made from an antique Indian rupee.
