Antique carved jade pendant with Taoist immortal

Antique finely carved jade pendant, depicting an immortal characterized by long moustaches and a flowing beard, symbols of wisdom and longevity in Chinese tradition. The figure refers to the iconography of Taoist immortals, legendary beings associated with transcendence, harmony with nature, and the attainment of spiritual immortality. These representations, widespread in Chinese art for centuries, were often worn as auspicious amulets, associated with protection, prosperity, and long life.

On the back, at the top, there are two small connected holes, made to allow the insertion of a cord or support, thus enabling the pendant to be worn or hung.
