African Lobi Bronze Crocodile Pendant Amulet

African bronze pendant depicting a crocodile.
In West Africa the crocodile is frequently associated with strength and the aquatic dimension, a vital and symbolically powerful element, and in Lobi contexts animal representations may take on a protective and identity-related function, although they are not always attributable to a single, rigidly codified meaning.
The cord measures 60 centimeters (23.62 inches) in length.
Provenance: West Africa
