Old finely hand-carved wooden printing block depicting a Lungta accompanied by raised inscriptions, likely mantras.

The Lungta, or “Wind Horse”, is a central symbol of Tibetan tradition: it represents a running horse carrying the flaming jewel, an emblem of fortune, prosperity, and vital energy. Its iconography is closely linked to Tibetan Buddhism and frequently appears on prayer flags and ritual supports, with a protective and auspicious function.

The block was used for manual printing on paper or fabric, a technique employed for the production of sacred images and ritual texts.

On the back there is an original export seal in wax.
